Woody Harrelson defended his clash with a photographer at a New York airport Wednesday night as a case of mistaken identity — he says he mistook the cameraman for a zombie.
The TMZ photographer filed a complaint with police claiming the actor damaged his camera and pushed him in the face at La Guardia Airport, according to an airport spokesman.
“I wrapped a movie called ‘Zombieland,’ in which I was constantly under assault by zombies, then flew to New York, still very much in character,” Harrelson said in a statement issued Friday by his publicist.
You go boy! Come on TMZ!! Standard procedure for an encounter with a zombie calls for severing the head or removing the brain. Sounds like the photographer in question should be thanking Woody for showing a little restraint.
The Ruben Fleischer directed ZOMBIELAND hits theaters October 9th, 2009. I don’t see the trailer posted anywhere just yet…

Check out an interesting review of a Bizarro SUPERMAN script that’s getting some buzz HERE.
The last we heard about the SUPERMAN franchise on the THRALL WORLD blogzine was on Halloween of last year when BRANDON ROUTH said THIS.
My take on the review: Bizarro sounds a little bit like the Hulk. Ridiculously powerful, misunderstood, and a margially controllable wild card. General Zod and Ursa also are back (from Superman 2) and heavily involved. It sounds like an interesting concept for a graphic novel idea but I seriously doubt that this is the way they will go with retooling the Superman movie franchise.
The Iron Maiden World Slavery tour was my first metal concert way back in my wee-one days. Oddly enough I have not seen them since and not for a lack of interest. My concert venue preference has always been clubs and it’s been awhile since they’ve played one – if they’ve ever played one. But I still get the itch on certain days and shuffle through a Maiden Marathon from time to time.
On a side/trivia note, The MARAZENE album ‘MachiNation’ was mixed on the same board that was used for the POWERSLAVE mix. That information wasn’t relayed to me until well into the album promotions or you would have heard me mentioning it a lot sooner.
