New interview with Scout Taylor-Compton who is reprising her role as Laurie Strode in the upcoming ROB ZOMBIE directed HALLOWEEN sequel; ‘H2’

On ZOMBIE letting her know the sequel was a go:

“He called me and said, ‘We’re doing this,’ and I hadn’t read the script until the day before I was leaving. All he said was ‘Be ready to kick ass.'”

On what to expect from her character:

“All of my friends are dead, my parents are dead and it’s two years later and here’s this run down Laurie Strode… She doesn’t know how to deal with it…”

‘H2’ hits theaters August 28th, 2009 and stars Malcolm McDowell, Scout Taylor-Compton, Danielle Harris, Brad Dourif, Tyler Mane, Sheri Moon Zombie, Brea Grant, Matt Bush, Margot Kidder, Howard Hesseman, and Bill Fagerbakke.

Chase Wright Vanek picks up the Young Michael Myers role from DAEG FAERCH. ZOMBIE felt it best to recast the role as

“the scenes [with Daeg] just didn’t work anymore. Daeg is no longer a little boy, he is a teenager with a deep voice.”

‘MOON’ will hit theaters June 12th, 2009 and in addition to Sam Rockwell stars; Kevin Spacey, Dominique McElligott, Rosie Shaw, Kaya Scodelario, and Benedict Wong.

Sam Rockwell was recently confirmed for the IRON MAN sequel as well as starring in FROST/NIXON.

One last bit of trivia… Duncan Jones is the son of none other than DAVID BOWIE. It’s A THRALL WORLD is placing bets on the inclusion of ‘MAJOR TOM’ somewhere in the movie…
