THRALL WORLD uses “remake” loosely. They are calling this an homage which we assume means they are re-telling the story using the Middle Eastern conflict as a backdrop for the main character.

GREEN LANTERN sequel and THE FLASH movies moving forward
“Green Lantern” is a year away from release, but Warner Bros. already is starting development on a sequel. The studio has hired Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, all of whom worked on the “Lantern” screenplay, to write a treatment for the second installment.
The trio has also been tapped to pen the treatment for the silver-screen incarnation of “The Flash.”
The “Flash” film will take inspiration from [writer Geoff] Johns’ recent work and will feature the Barry Allen incarnation of the character.

GREEN LANTERN
TIM ROBBINS
Tim Robbins is joining the cast of “Green Lantern,” the Martin Campbell-directed tentpole at Warner Bros. that’s based on the DC Comics superhero. Robbins will play Senator Hammond, the disapproving father of the movie’s villain, Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard), who becomes infused with psychic powers.
Ryan Reynolds stars as Green Lantern, with Blake Lively as the hero’s love interest, Carol Ferris who runs her father’s aerospace company and hires cocky test pilot Hal Jordan (Reynolds), who later becomes the intergalactic policeman Green Lantern.
