Hold That Thought – ORGY Reunion Kaput..?

October 26, 2010

ORGY

Julien-K.com

Word of a possible ORGY reunion with the original lineup of the platimum selling CANDYASS first hit THRALL WORLD in the Spring. The latest as posted by AMIR DERAKH on the official Julien-K website:

“As of October 26, JAY GORDON will be leaving the original band ORGY.

We don’t know what this means for the future of ORGY, but we are assuming that Jay intends to release new music under the name ORGY. We don’t know if Jay has a new band waiting in the wings to replace us, or if he plans on doing it all on his own — but we do know that Jay is a talented writer, and we are sure that he will come up with something great.

Over the last few years we have tried to get the band together and tour or write new music — even though we are juggling multiple businesses as well as three original music projects (JULIEN-K, DEAD BY SUNRISE, and CIRCUIT FREQ), we have always been willing to make time for ORGY.

It saddens us that Jay is choosing to carry on the ORGY name without his brothers that helped build and create that name, but we truly wish him all the best.

Thank you all for your continued support on the many projects that we are all involved in, and for being our friends, family, and fans over the years.”

THRALL WORLD Rumor Of The Week: ORGY Reuniting For Tour?

April 1, 2010

ORGY

Source: The Other Church

Starting to sound like it according to ORGY guitarist RYAN SHUCK. Check out the clip below which features a sneak-peek and behind the scenes listen at some of the new JULIEN-K material. Ryan drops the ORGY reunion info @ the 4:52 mark.

“I probably shouldn’t say a lot of about this, but I’ve kind of got a stick up my ass about doing something with ORGY. We’re gonna be doing a tour — JULIEN-K — most likely, I’d say, in June, maybe after, in Europe, and if we do something with ORGY, that means we will have played a full tour with three different bands in one year.”

MURDERDOLLS: JOEY JORDISON Confirms Reunion – New Album Title “WOMEN AND CHILDREN LAST”

March 25, 2010

MURDERDOLLS

Source: Kerrang.com

Following up on WEDNESDAY 13’s talk of a MURDERDOLLS reunion last month.

New album title: “WOMEN AND CHILDREN LAST”
Release date: TBA

JOEY JORDISON on how a MURDERDOLLS reunion came about:

“It’s been an ongoing conversation between Wednesday and I from 2006 until now. We were bored with everything out there, and thought we had something to piss people off and shake things up. Everything is such a product or a fucking formula these days… Fuck formula! Fuck the norm!”

The expected band lineup?

“Much like the way Darkthrone or Satyricon make records, Wednesday and I are doing the record ourselves with a couple of very special guests.”

FEAR FACTORY: HERRERA And WOLBERS Turned Down Chance To Do New Album – Didn’t Want To Work With CAZARES

February 22, 2010

FEAR FACTORY 2009

Source: Ultimate Guitar

FEAR FACTORY guitarist DINO CAZARES talks about the new album and touches on some of the ongoing legal issues in a new interview – one of the more interesting reveals below:

“When Burt asked me to come back to the band, he actually asked me to come back to the band as a whole. That is, with also the other members as well [Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera]. But the other two turned it down because they didn’t want me back in the band.”
