STEPHEN HAWKING: No Such Thing As “Personal God” – Here’s Why

GOD: Where Art Thou??

Source: Telegraph.co.uk

In his latest book, The Grand Design, [Stephen] Hawking said: “Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist.”

He added: “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the Universe going.”

But then why is there a “law” of gravity or rather “laws” of physics in the first place? Where do these “laws” come from and where does “Spontaneous Creation” come from? These things just appeared out of nowhere? The ENTIRE universe is all just a matter of “Spontaneous Creation”?

It does sound like Hawking gives a little bit of key ground on the subject of an existing all powerful entity that MAY be behind the creation of his beloved Laws of Physics…

“The question is: is the way the universe began chosen by God for reasons we can’t understand, or was it determined by a law of science? I believe the second. If you like, you can call the laws of science ‘God’, but it wouldn’t be a personal God that you could meet, and ask questions.”

Hawking is talking about whether or not there is a God out there that actually cares about you or I and/or that actually listens to our prayers at night. Agnostics would apparently rule this argument. But quite frankly, THRALL WORLD would prefer Hawking stick with the creation of warp drive as a more productive use of time.

  1. I read this entire page I totaly beleved these theories.I can’t tell what inspiration I have got…thank you SIR

  2. I have taken classes on this subject with supporting evidence for each side and I have to admit, the creationists actually have more convincing proof. They have texts that can’t be proven wrong, many, many years of experience and tradition, and so, they’re not based fully on the gut reaction of an unhappy man.

  3. Creationist usually lie, their “proof” is nonsense and has in every case I’ve researched been debunked.
