Movie will kick off a new trilogy and will be in 3-D.
Paul W.S. Anderson is returning to the director’s chair for Resident Evil: Afterlife. Anderson directed the first installment and stayed on board as a writer and producer for the two sequels. He wrote the fourth film as well.
The fourth film in the franchise will have the largest budget of all the films so far. ” I don’t regard it as Resident Evil 4, I regard it as a re-tooling and rebirth of the entire franchise,” said Anderson in a quick interview.
We have not heard an official word on Jovovich’s return but it seems likely with the return of Anderson.
