Straight from ROADRUNNERs propoganda front, BLABBERMOUTH.net:
Massachusetts metallers SHADOWS FALL are rumored to have lost their European record deal with Roadrunner Records, which released the band’s latest effort, “Threads of Life”. The group’s U.S. deal with Atlantic Records is also said to be on shaky ground, with “Threads of Life” having only shifted around 98,000 copies in the United States since its April 2007 release — a fraction of the 308,000 sales total achieved by its predecessor, 2004’s “The War Within”, which was released by Century Media.
In just a three-day sales window, Metallica’s “Death Magnetic” skates close to the half million mark and will lead The Billboard 200 when Nielsen SoundScan releases its charts later this morning (Sept. 17).
The band’s first studio album since 2003 moved 490,000 copies in its abbreviated frame, scheduled off-cycle on a Friday to accommodate a worldwide release date.
