Bret Michaels was readmitted to the hospital this week after suffering numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands which doctors described as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) or warning stroke. While MRI and CT scan tests were being conducted, Michaels also received a Doppler Ultrasound of his legs and lower abdomen looking for blood clots and most importantly an Ultrasound Bubble Test of his heart was conducted which proved positive for a Patent Forum Ovale (PFO), a hole in the heart. Dr. Zabramski (Bret�s neurosurgeon), Dr. Becker (who ordered the test), Dr. Cook (who conducted the test) and Dr. Frey (Director, Outpatient Stroke Program) all confirmed the results.
Dr. Zabramski states “There is no doubt that the positive Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attach (TIA) or warning stroke; however we feel it is highly unlikely this is connected to the brain hemorrhage he suffered just a few weeks earlier. Once again it is great that he quickly reacted to the severe numbness and got to the hospital immediately.”
After an excruciating headache late Thursday night, the [BRET MICHAELS] was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where doctors discovered he suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem), according to a source close to the situation.
Michaels, 47, is currently in critical condition.
“After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation…”
Axl Rose annihilated a paparazzi at LAX the other night, connecting with a ferocious blow to the snapper’s head — and now we’ve got the video of the entire brutal beat down.
Before the brawl, Axl warns the paparazzi about a photog who was allegedly getting close to a woman in his entourage saying, “touch her again, I’ll break his f**king [THRALL WORLD edit: fucking] neck.”
Seconds later, the woman can be seen scuffling with a photog — and that’s when Axl charges in and swings for the photog’s head … knocking the guy right on his ass.

Adam Pascal, the Tony Award-nominated actor-singer known for his dual passions of musical theatre and rock music, is pursuing a dream he’s harbored since his teen years: to create a stage musical version of “Operation: Mindcrime,” the 1988 concept album by metal group Queensrÿche.
The project is in the early stages, with no director, librettist, producer or music director attached, but Pascal said that Queensrÿche — including frontman and co-songwriter Geoff Tate and manager Susan Tate — has given him the go-ahead, and that the new musical will include new songs and connective material by the band.
England’s “loudest heavy metal band” SPINAL TAP will be the featured musical guest on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” on Monday, June 15. Check local listings for more information.
