'SCREAM 4' Teaser Poster
Source: EW.com
SCREAM 4 director WES CRAVEN on how involved Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette are (reprising SCREAMS 1-3 characters; Sidney, Gale, and Dewey respectively) versus new characters:
“It’s a total integration of those three and new kids. The story of Sid, Gale, and Dewey is very much a part of the movie.”
On where Sidney has been for the past 10 years:
“She has been off by herself and living her own life, and she’s even written a book that has gotten a lot of critical acclaim. She’s kind of put her life back together in the course of these 10 years. But, certainly, there would be no Scream without Ghostface, so she has to confront him again, but now as a woman who has really come out the darkness of her past.”
EW.com: Should Scream 4 become a hit, you are signed on for Scream 5 and 6, right?
“Yeah, I’m signed on for the duration.”

'FRIDAY THE 13TH' Movie Poster
Source: RiskyBusinessBlog.com, comingsoon.net
New Line and Platinum Dunes are moving forward on a new “Friday the 13th” and that Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, who wrote the recently released reboot, are beginning work on a script for a new picture.
Unlike the sophomore efforts of other franchises, the new “Friday” is expected to be not a sequel so much as a follow-up, those familiar with the project say. Jason Voorhees will be the villain, of course, but the new picture is expected to use elements of the original franchise more as a jumping-off point than as a template.
Read more HERE.
The Marcus Nispel-directed Friday the 13th has earned $71.9 million worldwide in two weeks.
