KATE VERNON (who played Ellen Tigh) on what to expect from her character in ‘THE PLAN’:
“…they’ve written me with more heart and more compassion, and this intention to bring some enlightenment and peace, and I got to expand a character, just show a deeper side of myself.”
On her interest in reprising her role (if offered) in the BSG ‘CAPRICA’ spinoff series:
“I’d love to see where Ellen is at emotionally during the Caprica era.”

The Cast of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
Directed by EDWARD JAMES OLMOS, ‘BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE PLAN’ will air on the Sci Fi channel sometime in November 2009 and stars; Edward James Olmos, Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Callum Keith Rennie, Dean Stockwell, Michael Trucco, Kate Vernon, Aaron Douglas, and Michael Hogan.
IMDB does not list Mary McDonnell (President Laura Roslin), Jamie Bamber (Captain Lee ‘Apollo’ Adama), James Callis (Dr. Gaius Baltar), or Katee Sackhoff (Captain Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace) as being involved in this movie and that might be most weird in the case of Thrace who ran across Anders in the first place. Then again, the series finale covered some fairly detailed back-story on the above characters so the absence is understandable since there’s always a lot of ground covered in Moore’s stories.

Movie is still in script mode and shooting won’t begin until 2010 at the earliest.
Watch the video interview with Sam Mendes (REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, ROAD TO PERDITION, AMERICAN BEAUTY) HERE.
For additional background on the PREACHER story itself go HERE.
THRALL WORLD believes PREACHER would best be served as a 2-3 year 10 episode per season series on HBO or SHOWTIME. A two hour movie will leave lots of interesting twists and turns from the 66+ issue series out. We remain optimstic of the potential movie based on the strength of Garth Ennis’ fantastic story.
And LANCE HENRICKSEN as THE SAINT OF KILLERS please? The role was written with CLINT EASTWOOD in mind but Clint’s pretty busy these days. We’ve always liked HENRICKSEN, particularly in the MILLENNIUM series.

MICHAEL TRUCCO (who played Samuel Anders) on what to expect from ‘THE PLAN’:
“It doesn’t extend the story beyond what we saw in the finale. It actually picks up the story between season one and season two. It’s actually prequel to the entrance of Anders, my character, and Cavil, Dean Stockwell’s character. The movie is told from that perspective.”
On whether his character might show up in the prequel series ‘CAPRICA’:
“The Cylons, once we saw them in Battlestar, we realized, ‘Oh, they’ve been around for a long time.’ So it’s certainly possible, and it would be kind of cool.”
On whether or not BATTLESTAR GALACTICA might return as a series, mini-series, or in another movie:
“Ron [Moore] was pretty adamant about not resurrecting the series…
…he said this was the end of the show.”

SASHA GREY on the challenge of playing her character:
“[Director] Steven [Soderbergh] wanted a very natural feel to the film and have me bring in my personality — I had to find a way to do that while also creating a character.”
Interesting reveals in the article such as how Soderbergh filmed ‘The Girlfriend Experience’ in 16 days on a $1.7 million budget, largely improvised and with non-professional actors.
A drama set in the days leading up to the 2008 Presidential election, and centered on a high-end Manhattan call girl meeting the challenges of her boyfriend, her clients, and her work.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh (SEX LIES AND VIDEOTAPE, TRAFFIC, SOLARIS, SYRIANA, MICHAEL CLAYTON, ERIN BROCKOVICH, OCEAN’S ELEVEN) and scheduled for a May 22nd release. The movie stars porn star SASHA GREY in her mainstream acting debut. Also stars Chris Santo and Peter Zizzo.

With no lead officially cast in Martin (Casino Royale) Campbell’s take on the DC Comics superhero Green Lantern, Warner Bros. has decided to push the Emerald Knight’s big screen debut back six months to June 17, 2011 from its original scheduled date of December 17, 2010. No word whether this will affect the plans to start shooting in Australia in September or whether the move is to give Campbell more time for post-production and special FX.
Casting for the lead has included Chris Pine from the upcoming STAR TREK movie and BRIAN AUSTIN GREEN (TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, BEVERY HILLS: 90210) but nothing is confirmed yet.
Fox has thrown into development a spinoff featuring Deadpool, the wise-cracking mercenary played in the film by Ryan Reynolds.
Reynolds is attached to reprise the character for what for now is simply being called “Deadpool.” Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers.
The Deadpool and Gambit scenes were the only thing interesting in the Wolverine movie. Conflicting reports on whether FOX or MARVEL STUDIOS will be producing the movie. With any luck it won’t be FOX whose track record on big budget comic book movies (FANTASTIC FOUR and its sequel, DAREDEVIL, ELEKTRA, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN) is in the toilet.
