Directed by QUENTIN TARANTINO and scheduled to hit theaters on August, 21st 2009, ‘INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS’, stars Brad Pitt and will feature an ensemble cast of; Diane Kruger, Melanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Bruhl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard, Paul Rust, Michael Bacall, Omar Doom, Sylvester Groth, Julie Dreyfus, Jacky Ido, August Diehl, Martin Wuttke, Richard Sammel, Christian Berkel, Sonke Mohring, Michael Fassbender, Mike Myers, Rod Taylor, Denis Menochet, Cloris Leachman, Maggie Cheung and Samuel L. Jackson.
The new “V” will center on Erica Evans, a Homeland Security agent with an aimless son who’s got problems. When the aliens arrive, her son gloms on to them — causing tension within the family. As in the original “V,” several storylines will unfold simultaneously.
As in the ’80s version, the show will open with an enormous army of spaceships hovering over the world’s major cities. The visitors say they’ve come to help Earth, but their motives are nefarious (in the original, they wanted to steal the world’s water supply).

ROB ZOMBIE on his approach to the sequel that is more of a continuation of his version of HALLOWEEN rather than the old-school HALLOWEEN 2 sequel:
“…I started with Laurie Strode. The reality now is this: here is a girl who wakes up, her parents are murdered, most of her friends are murdered, and she finds out her brother is the person who killed everybody. What is the reality of that? What does that do to a person?”
On his approach being considered “sacrilege” by critics for not following the original Halloween films:
“I don’t think it’s sacrilege. I think what is sacrilege is all of the shitty sequels. [laughs] I mean, is that what everyone enjoyed?”
And in one of the more interesting reveals of the interview, BRAD DOURIF, has a much meatier role in the sequel which we here at THRALL WORLD are very pleased to hear about:
“…this movie also focuses a lot on Sheriff Brackett. I’m really excited about that. Brad Dourif has a huge role in this film [as Brackett], and he’s spectacular. He becomes very much like Laurie’s surrogate father. He feels responsible.”
THRALL WORLD is a huge fan of BRAD DOURIF from as far back as some of his earlier roles in the movies RAGTIME, DUNE and ALIEN: RESURRECTION, to more recent epics such as THE LORD OF THE RINGS, from his stint on DEADWOOD, to guest appearances on some of our favorite shows such as BABYLON 5, MILLENNIUM, X-FILES, and STAR TREK: VOYAGER.
‘H2′ hits theaters August 28th, 2009 and stars Malcolm McDowell, Scout Taylor-Compton, Danielle Harris, Brad Dourif, Tyler Mane, Sheri Moon Zombie, Brea Grant, Matt Bush, Margot Kidder, Howard Hesseman, and Bill Fagerbakke.
In other recent ‘H2′ HALLOWEEN 2 updates:

CHRISTIAN BALE on becoming involved with the Terminator franchise:
“I felt like the [Terminator] franchise was done… …I didn’t have an interest. Then I [heard an] idea that really was something good that could be told here. If that was going to happen then absolutely, I wanted to be on board.”
On his reaction to the final cut:
“This isn’t a movie that you sit down and watch as a personal 2AM viewing. It’s not something in which you sort of gaze into the human soul and speak to you that way. It’s a movie that’s meant to be watched with a lot of different people and get that common energy. Movies like this are much like sports. It’s that feeling of a common excitement throughout the theater.”

STEVEN SODERBERGH (SEX LIES AND VIDEOTAPE, TRAFFIC, SOLARIS, SYRIANA, MICHAEL CLAYTON, ERIN BROCKOVICH, OCEAN’S ELEVEN) on working with porn star SASHA GREY:
“…the thing about her–the reason she’s such a mold breaker–is her back story and her attitude about the adult industry is just very atypical. She’s not the kind of person that normally ends up in that business. The fact that she did it by choice because she felt like, ‘I have this part of me that’s gonna speak. Well, I have two options, I could go work in an office somewhere and then on the weekends go out and try and find somebody who’s into the same sh*t I’m into, or I can turn this thing that’s inside of me into a business and make money off of it.’”
A drama set in the days leading up to the 2008 Presidential election, and centered on a high-end Manhattan call girl meeting the challenges of her boyfriend, her clients, and her work.
‘THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE’ will hit theaters on May 22nd, 2009 and also stars Chris Santo and Peter Zizzo.

GRACE PARK (who played Sharon “Boomer” Valerii) on what to expect from ‘BSG: THE PLAN’:
“…we took scenes that we already shot, that you’re going to recognize, and then either add another angle, or add some dialogue… So if someone whispered something in someone’s ear, which you never heard, we’re actually adding that dialogue.”
Watch the teaser trailer and several quickie interviews with producers and cast below.
The Cast of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA
Directed by EDWARD JAMES OLMOS, ‘BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE PLAN’ will air on the Sci Fi channel sometime in November 2009 and stars; Edward James Olmos, Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Callum Keith Rennie, Dean Stockwell, Michael Trucco, Kate Vernon, Aaron Douglas, and Michael Hogan.
IMDB does not list Mary McDonnell (President Laura Roslin), Jamie Bamber (Captain Lee ‘Apollo’ Adama), James Callis (Dr. Gaius Baltar), or Katee Sackhoff (Captain Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace) as being involved in this movie and that might be most weird in the case of Thrace who ran across Anders in the first place. Then again, the series finale covered some fairly detailed back-story on the above characters so the absence is understandable since there’s always a lot of ground covered in Moore’s stories.

SAM WORTHINGTON on being a fan of the TERMINATOR movies:
“I reacquainted myself with it before we shot. I was maybe 14 or 15 when the second one came out, so I remember the liquid man because it was pretty revolutionary.”
On working with CHRISTIAN BALE:
“I find Christian extremely passionate and dedicated. People call him intense. I hate that f*ckin’ word. I hate it! He turns up, does his job, and it’s all about the story and the character. To work with a guy like that is actually a privilege.”
On his character in ‘TERMINATOR SALVATION’:
“…here’s a guy who wanted to die for his sins and the irony is that he wakes up and he can’t die. He’s stuck and his penance is to suffer, until he transforms and becomes a better human being.”

“…the big-screen adaptation of ‘Youngblood’ [will] focus on team members Shaft and Chapel, the bow-wielding marksman and gun-toting former soldier who lead the team.”
“Youngblood” chronicled the adventures of a government-sanctioned team of superheroes who operated in the public eye while fighting super-powered threats and dealing with superhero-sized drama.
