The fallout between DreamWorks and Universal isn’t stopping Reliance Big Entertainment from flexing its dealmaking muscle. The Indian media conglom has acquired Rob Liefeld’s iconic graphic novel “Youngblood” for Brett Ratner to direct.
Reliance inked a development deal with Ratner’s shingle Rat Entertainment.
The company paid mid six figures for the rights to “Youngblood,” about a superhero team sanctioned and overseen by the U.S. government.
GUNS N’ ROSES’ new album, “Chinese Democracy”, was officially certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 3, 2009 for shipments in the United States in excess of one million copies.

“‘Powers’ is in active development as a pilot at FX,” Bendis told MTV. “I just handed in a draft to the network and we’re getting our notes from the network as soon as this thing is over.

AXL ROSE comments in the interview that either he or SLASH will be dead before there would be a GUNS N’ ROSES reunion. Pretty sad.
Warner Bros. is negotiating with Martin Campbell to direct “Green Lantern,” the live-action film based on the DC Comics hero. Campbell last directed “Casino Royale” and recently wrapped the Mel Gibson starrer “Edge of Darkness,” based on the 1985 BBC miniseries that Campbell helmed. Campbell also helmed two “Zorro” films and the 007 film “GoldenEye.”
“Sex and the City 2″ has moved closer to the starting line with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis signed for the sequel along with writer-director-producer Michael Patrick King. No start date’s set for shooting and no script’s been written.
