BRANDON ROUTH Talks Involvement With New SUPERMAN Movie, BRYAN SINGER, and BRANIAC As A Possible Villian

BRANDON ROUTH on being involved in the next SUPERMAN movie:
“I confer with them on my schedule because they have a contractual obligation to my time for a certain amount of time until that contract expires at which time I have to say hey I’m going to be unavailable during this time, do you want to exercise your right to use me in another Warner Bros. film.”
To add a little confusion to yesterdays THRALL WORLD posting re: MARK MILLAR’s possible involvement in a SUPERMAN reboot, IESB interviewer on BRYAN SINGER’s involvement with a SUPERMAN sequel:
“We know Bryan has signed on to do it, I don’t think that gets enough mention in the press that Bryan has signed on to do the sequel.”

Keep in mind that as mentioned in a late August 2008 THRALL WORLD posting, Warner Bros. Pictures Group President JEFF ROBINOV said:
“Superman’ didn’t quite work as a film in the way that we wanted it to. It didn’t position the character the way he needed to be positioned. Had ‘Superman’ worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009. But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all.”
So it really sounds like they’re still juggling this reboot vs. sequel situation. Read more on this article HERE.
I have a feeling Millar’s pitch will be a bit too ambitious for WARNER BROTHERS. I would have to think they would prefer a successful franchise a la JAMES BOND when thinking about the future of SUPERMAN over a three movie epic story with nowhere to go after that.
On the other hand a reboot sees likely with SUPERMAN RETURNS lackluster audience reception.
Where to start over with the SUPERMAN franchise is beginning to sound like a pretty Super-headache.
