LOS ANGELES – Harry Potter was the center of seven novels, but he’ll star in eight films. The final book in the wildly successful series will be made into two films, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.

Producers are expected to announce Thursday that J.K. Rowling’s last “Potter” installment, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” will be split into two parts on the big screen. The first film is slated for release in November 2010, with part two following in May 2011.

The two final “Potter” films will be shot concurrently, much like the blockbuster trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic fantasy novel “The Lord of the Rings.”

Filming on the sixth “Potter” flick, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” began in September.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK Trailer Debuts On MTV.com

March 12, 2008

THE INCREDIBLE HULK Starring Edward Norton Opens June 13th, 2008

MTV has posted the new trailer for THE INCREDIBLE HULK movie

Watch it HERE.

The Louis Leterrier directed movie hits theaters on June 13th, 2008 and stars Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, and William Hurt.

One interesting note: Robert Downey Jr, as in Tony Stark AKA: Iron Man, is listed on the IMDB listing for the Hulk cast and my guess is a cameo which makes for a very nice tribute to “Tales of Suspense”. For the lighter weight and younger fans of comic book movies, Iron Man and The Hulk starred in the same comic book called “Tales of Suspense” before they were each spun off into their own titles. Makes me wonder if The Iron Man movie won’t have some sort of FOX News Alert or CNN Breaking News Alert of a Rampaging Hulk in the background of a key scene…

Empire Online talked to director Bryan Singer, who says that he has started working on Superman: Man of Steel.

“I’m just getting back with writers after the strike. We’re just in the development phase. I’m starting to develop a sequel…with the intention of directing it,” he told the magazine.

About the negative reaction to the first film’s focus on the drama instead of the action, Singer added, “The first one was a romantic film and a nostalgic film… And now that the characters are established, there’s really an opportunity to up the threat levels.”
